Westbound lanes on the Long Island Expressway in Queens were closed between exits 26 and 27 following an accident involving an overturned truck Thursday morning.
The left lane was blocked on the eastbound side at about 5:30 a.m., causing major backups.
Another accident on the L.I.E. in Queens also blocked two westbound lanes before exit 18, causing heavy delays.
