Weather to Improve After Rainy Morning

Eastern Long Island may see rain linger, but the rest of the area should enjoy better weather by lunchtime. Overnight into Sunday morning temperatures are expected to cool down, with possible lows in the 50s in the Hudson Valley and Northwestern New Jersey.

There is a moderate rip current risk at the beach today.

Hurricane Gordon, a category 1 hurricane in the Atlantic, is expected to weaken over the next 24 to 36 hours.
