The mild weather is expected to give way Tuesday to heavy winds, rain and possible thunderstorms over the entire tri-state area.

Rain could start around rush hour on Tuesday, with an estimate of one to three inches of rain in the area over the course of the day.

Heavy winds of up to 50 to 60 mph are expected, with a slight risk of severe thunderstorms for the entire region. The forecast for Tuesday calls for a high of 76 degrees.
