Former Jets Player Accused of L.I. Restaurant Labor Violations

The civil complaint alleges that Wayne Chrebet paid less than minimum wage and failed to pay overtime at his Social Sports Kitchen in Uniondale

Former New York Jets player Wayne Chrebet has been accused of labor violations at his Long Island restaurant.

The U.S. Department of Labor said Wednesday that a settlement is in the works.

The civil complaint alleges that Chrebet paid less than minimum wage and failed to pay overtime at his Social Sports Kitchen in Uniondale, N.Y.

A lawyer for Chrebet did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Chrebet played 11 seasons as a wide receiver for the Jets from 1995 to 2005.

The complaint was filed Friday in federal court in Central Islip.
