Subways are slowly getting back on track after a water main break in lower Manhattan disrupted the morning commute Thursday.

Nos. 1, 2 and 3 train service has resumed with residual delays after flooding at the Chambers Street station disrupted subways for much of the morning.

Anyone traveling on the 1, 2 or 3 lines is advised to expect residual delays. Check out mta.info for the latest updates.

By 4p.m., the main break at Murray Street and West Broadway was repaired, and water was restored.

The water main break happened at about 3:30 a.m.

A Department of Environmental Protection spokesman said there was a 12-inch fracture in the pipe.

It wasn't immediately clear what caused the fracture.
