Victims Tied Up in Violent Auto Shop Armed Robbery: Police

Police are looking for two men in a violent armed robbery at a Long Island auto shop in which one victim was tied up with his belt and a phone cord.

The robbery happened Monday at 9 p.m. at an AutoZone in Freeport, police say.

Authorities say the suspects entered the shop and forced to male employees, 36 and 19, to the ground behind the counter and began to kick them. The suspects tied one victim up with duct tape and then ordered the second victim to open the safe before tying him up with his belt and a phone cord.

The suspects fled with an unknown amount of money.

No injuries were reported.
