Firefighters are battling a fire at a Queens college that followed a small explosion in a manhole near the school, authorities said Wednesday.
About 60 firefighters have responded to the blaze in basement of the Vaughn College of Aeronautics and Technology in Flushing, fire officials said.
The fire, which appears to be electrical, was reported shortly after 10 a.m.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
