Police Chase Ends in 2-Car Crash on Long Island

A police pursuit of a vehicle on Long Island ended in a crash at a busy intersection during the evening rush, authorities said.
Two vehicles crashed at West Merrick Road and North Central Avenue in Valley Stream, police said. One of the cars was being pursued by police, though it was not immediately clear why.
A person was taken into custody at the scene. There was no report of any injuries on the scene.
