Police are looking for the men who forced their way into an Upper West Side apartment early Saturday and beat a man and woman with a metal flashlight.
The men knocked on the apartment’s door at about 4 a.m., police say. A 24-year-old woman answered the door and the two men, both in their forties, forced their way in. That’s when they attacked, hitting the woman and a 32-year-old man in their heads and faces.
The men left the apartment after the attack without taking anything, police say.
The man and woman were both taken to St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center with head and face trauma. The woman was treated and released, and the man is in stable condition at the hospital.
Anyone with information about the attacker is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
