2 Arrested in Deadly Shooting, Arson in Queens

Police say they've arrested two people in connection with an alleged murder and arson in Queens earlier this week.

Jason St. Hill, 17, and Stephen Peters, 22, were charged with kidnapping, arson, murder, burglary, robbery and other charges Thursday, police said. They are being held without bail following their arraignment.

They're accused of tying up and shooting 43-year-old Azeem Ali of Richmond Hill, then setting fire to his home early Sunday.

Ali's burned body was found after a fire on the second floor of a three-story home on 95th Avenue, police said. He had been shot in the head and his legs were bound with an electrical cord, according to sources.

Prosecutors allege Peters demanded the victim's ATM card and PIN number before pulling the trigger, then doused the apartment with gasoline and torched it.

Both defendants are accused of withdrawing money from the victim's account.

St. Hill's attorney declined comment.

Peters' attorney did not immediately return a call.
