What remains of Hurricane Nate is set to bring wet, unsettled weather to the tri-state early next week, Storm Team 4 says.
The deadly storm, which has killed at least 30 people in Central America and has led to hurricane warnings in parts of Florida and Louisiana, made landfall in Mississippi as a Category 1 hurricane Saturday evening, according to the National Weather Service.
The remnants of the hurricane should quickly roll into the tri-state Monday after an unseasonably hot and muggy weekend — and after a punch of rain carried in by a separate system Sunday morning.

Monday will be damp, breezy and dreary, with periods of heavy rain and a chance of thunderstorms, Storm Team 4 says. The heaviest showers and strongest wind gusts are expected in the afternoon and evening, but the tri-state should avoid any widespread flooding or damaging winds.
Nate moves out to sea on Monday night, and Tuesday will be a warm, breezy and dry day, according to Storm Team 4. Wednesday is also dry, but the chance of showers returns Thursday and Friday.
Temperatures will get progressively cooler over the course of the week, Storm Team 4 says. This weekend will be humid with highs in the low 80s, but by Wednesday highs will drop to the mid-70s. On Thursday and Friday, they’ll only be in the low-70s or upper-60s.
Next weekend looks pleasant, with partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-70s early on.
