Sporadic Showers to Give Way to Partly Sunny Skies

An approaching cold front will mean less humidity for much of the area

Heads up, tri-state residents: showers and storms are moving through the area Saturday night, but are expected to yield to partly sunny skies on Sunday.

An approaching cold front brought gloomy lunchtime weather to much of the area, Storm Team 4 reported. Storms and showers will continue on and off until 9 p.m.

Some storms may be severe. Strong wind gusts will be the most likely threat from any storms that move through, according to Storm Team 4. The good news is the early arrival of the cold front means less humid air will filter into the region.

Sunday is expected to be a much better day, with plenty of sunshine and a slight breeze. High temperatures will return to our seasonal average on Monday, which might be the best day of the week.

The temperatures and humidity gradually increase during the workweek, but the tri-State will stay dry until at least Wednesday.
