It's about to get more expensive to drive from New Jersey to New York City.
Planned toll hikes at the six crossings maintained by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey are set to go in effect Sunday, the agency announced.
Drivers of two-axle vehicles will have to pay $15 cash to cross into New York City, up a buck from current prices. E-ZPass holders will have to pay between $10.50 and $12.50 depending on the time of day.
It's the fifth increase in five years, and is the last price hike in a plan instituted in 2011 to increase revenue for the Port Authority.
The affected bridges include the George Washington, Bayonne and Goethals bridges, the Lincoln and Holland tunnels and the Outerbridge Crossing.
