Three Killed, One Critical in Wantagh Parkway Crash

Three people were killed in the crash.
Three people were killed and another critically injured in a fatal one-car accident on the Wantagh State Parkway, police said this morning.
Police are investigating how the Honda Civic left the roadway of the Southbound Wantagh near Merrick Road and crashed into a tree at about 3 am Monday morning.
All the victims are in their 20s or late teens, according to authorities. One of the deceased was described as a 19-year-old woman from Wantagh and another as a 23-year-old man from the Bronx. Police did not identify the third victim but the sole survivor is described as a 19-year-old woman from Amityville.
Empty beer cans were found in the car, according to 1010wins.com, but police declined to say whether alcohol was a factor.
