Sotheby's Mark Twain Collection
The highlight of the collection is Twain’s unpublished manuscript, “A Family Sketch,” his most intimate and introspective memoir of his family and his youth days. It is the missing chapter from his autobiography and also honors his daughter Susy. The 64-page manuscript, complete with numerous emendations throughout, is estimated at $120,000 to $180,000.
