Mr. Deville, she's ready for her close-up!

In celebration of Earth Day, The Bronx Zoo will debut its newest addition, "Moxie," a 5-month old lion cub today. Born on November 6th, 2008, Moxie weighed approximately 3 pounds at birth.

The product of a cooperative breeding effort that paired M'wasi, an adult male lion, and Sukari,  a young female,  Moxie is the first cub born at the Wildlife Conservation Society in 31 years.

Moxie could reach up to 350 pounds as she grows into an adult.   Moxie is "definitely a scene-stealer with a spunky and playful personality, said Jim Breheny, said Wildlife Conservation Society Director of the Bronx Zoo.
