Long Island Teen Accused of Tweeting “Someone Is Going to Die Tonight” in Soccer Game Dispute

The 19-year-old was charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony

A Long Island teen who allegedly tweeted "someone is going to die tonight" during a fight on Twitter about a championship soccer game has been accused of making a terroristic threat.

Police say the tweet posted Monday said there would be a shooting during the high school game at the Dowling College Sports Complex in Shirley on Wednesday.

Detective Lt. Kevin Breyer said one of the high schools alerted police, who arrested 19-year-old Mario Cernas, of Bay Shore, at his home. No weapons were found.

Cernas was charged with making a terroristic threat, a felony.

He pleaded not guilty and is being held on $25,000 bail.

Cernas' uncle, Adan Campos, said his nephew is "a great kid" who has never been in any trouble.

Campos said there's no way his nephew was planning a shooting.
