Teens Allegedly Slash 18-Year-Old Boy in Face, Torso at Bronx Subway Station

Two teenagers slashed another teen boy at a Bronx train station, police said Saturday.

The 18-year-old victim got off a northbound 6 train at the Westchester Avenue station and walked onto the platform on Thursday afternoon when he was approached by a group of four or five people, police said.

One of the boys in the group pulled out a knife and attempted to stab the teen, but the victim shielded his face with his right hand and was cut, police said. A second knife-wielding teen slashed the victim in the torso and on the right side of his face, police said.

The victim was taken to a local hospital.

The suspects are believed to be between 16 and 18 years old and about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall. Police said one was last seen wearing a blue du-rag, a blue hooded sweater and light blue jeans; the second suspect was last seen wearing a red hoodie and dark jeans.

Anyone with information regarding the slashing should call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS or submit their tips on the Crime Stoppers website.
