Teen Tries to Steal Same Car Twice in the Bronx: Police

Police say a teen who stole a car, which was later recovered, returned to the same Bronx home two days later to try to steal the car again.

The suspect, who police said is between 16 and 18 years old, walked into a house on Ely Avenue in Edenwald on May 17 and took the keys to a 2015 Lexus. The teen drove away with the car, but it was found the next day, police said.

Two days after he stole the car, the teen returned to the home and tried to steal it again, but a neighbor confronted him and he fled, police said.

Police released surveillance video of the suspect. Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
