Teen Drivers Arrested in Long Island Street Racing Crash

Two teenagers were arrested on Long Island Friday after crashing their vehicles into a house and an electrical pole while street racing, police say.

The drivers, 17 and 18, were racing in East Patchogue when they crashed near the intersection of Washington Avenue and Saxton Street, according to Suffolk police.

The teens, who were not hurt, were held at the scene by an off-duty officer until police arrived. They're facing charges of unlawful speeding and reckless driving.

No one else was injured, police said.
