New Jersey Teen Stabs Girlfriend's Ex After Being Found Inside Closet: Police

He was found walking near a Burger King after the stabbing, with blood still on him, police said

A New Jersey teen stabbed his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend during a fight inside the girlfriend's home Wednesday afternoon, police say.

Nicholas Damico, 19, was at his girlfriend's Lodi home when they learned her ex-boyfriend was outside, apparently looking to see who she was now dating, according to police.

Damico hid inside a closet, armed with a kitchen knife, and the ex eventually got into the house and found Damico in the closet, police said.

The two got into a physical altercation, and the armed Damico hit the ex several times in the chest with the knife, according to police.

The girlfriend was able to pull the knife away from Damico, but cut her arm in the process.

Both victims were taken to the hospital to be treated for their injuries. Lodi police found a bloodied Damico walking in the area of a Burger King restaurant on Washington Street.

He was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and weapons possession. He remains jailed with bail at $15,000. Attorney information wasn't immediately available.
