Long Island Teacher's Aide Accused of Sexting Student

    Ivone Oliviera

A Long Island teacher's aide who worked with students with disabilities is accused of sending one of her students sexual texts and photos and engaging in an inappropriate physical relationship with him.

Nassau County police charged Ivone Oliviera, 34, Thursday with endangering the welfare of a disabled person.

Police say Oliviera began engaging in inappropriate physical contact with an 18-year-old student at the Henry Vicardi School in Albertson where she worked back in January.

They say she hugged and kissed the student and also sent him text messages and photos of a sexual nature.

Information about her lawyer was not immediately available.
