An eighth-grade teacher has been accused of statutory rape after allegedly having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old girl over a period of more than a year.
Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said Charles Oross, 44, taught at I.S. 238, the Susan B. Anthony School, and is accused of having sex with the girl multiple times between January 2009 and April 2010.
The encounters happened in a classroom and in his car, prosecutors said.
He is charged with second-degree rape, third-degree rape, second-degree criminal sexual act and endangering the welfare of a child.
The DA said it did not yet have information about an attorney for Oross.
