A taxi struck and killed a man who was crossing the street in the Upper East Side, police said Sunday.
The 50-year-old man was walking Saturday evening in a crosswalk at York Avenue and East 78th Street when he was struck, the NYPD said.
The victim was pinned under the cab, police said. He was pronounced dead at a hospital. His name wasn't released.
The taxi driver stayed on the scene, police said. No one has been arrested.
Police said the investigation was ongoing.
