Police are investigating after a taxi slammed into scaffolding outside a building in midtown.

The accident on Sixth Avenue and 36th Street in Murray Hill at 2 a.m. Friday involved two cabs, officials said.

Both drivers suffered minor injuries. Police say they were evaluated by emergency service personnel but refused further medical attention.

One of the taxis ended up wedged under the fallen scaffolding after one of the drivers apparently cut off the other.

There were no other injuries.
