A 21-year-old man has been arrested for breaking into an Upper East Side ground floor apartment and raping a woman.

Police say they arrested Jason Quinones on Sunday and charged him with rape and burglary.

Police say Quinones broke into the apartment through a window at around 5 a.m. Saturday.

It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.

The alleged crime shook up the Upper East Side neighborhood.

"To think someone could get in so easily," said Deb Fewel.  "It's a safe neighborhood."
