Police are seeking a 49-year-old man in the stabbing death of a woman in Brooklyn Friday afternoon.

Benjamin Braxton is accused of stabbing 48-year-old Raynell Howington inside the lobby of a building on MacDougal Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant. Police say the two had been arguing when Braxton stabbed Howington several times in the torso and then kicked her while she was on the ground.

Emergency responders pronounced Howington dead at the scene.

Braxton is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall and 220 pounds. Police have released a mug shot of Braxton from an earlier arrest (see above).

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
