Authorities are calling them the greatest near-misses of Suffolk County's red-light cameras.
Suffolk County officials released a video compilation on Monday that captures the worst cases of vehicles running red lights.
The low-light reel contains red-light camera footage of several school buses and heavy-duty commercial vehicles blowing by red lights well after they had changed colors.
The 100 red light cameras that are now in place at 50 intersections have resulted in more than 98,000 violations, according to the Office of the Suffolk County Executive.
The red-light violations carry a $50 fine with no points assigned and no insurance implications.
