Rollerblading SUNY Student Killed in NY Hit-Run: Police

Police are looking for the hit-and-run driver who killed a SUNY student who was rollerblading on a Long Island street late Wednesday.

SUNY-Stony Brook graduate student Artem Ayzen was rollerblading on North Country Road in Stony Brook at about 11 p.m. when he was run down by a dark SUV headed east, Suffolk County police say.

The 25-year-old Brooklyn man was taken to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Police say the SUV left the scene after hitting Ayzen, and could have front-end damage.

Anyone with information about the SUV or the driver is asked to call the Suffolk County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
