Suffolk County Police arrested four people Friday in connection with a series of home burglaries in the Centereach, Selden and Coram areas over the past month.
Police encountered the suspects when they were called to Magnolia Drive in Selden at about 1:40 p.m. Friday for a home alarm, according to authorities. There, anti-crime officers and detectives spotted a vehicle matching the description of one involved in a burglary the day before.
Police arrested the occupants of the vehicle and transported them to the Sixth Squad. After some more investigation, police connected the suspects to a number of home burglaries in Selden, Centereach and Coram since Feb.8, authorities said.
Brian Leavey, 19, of Selden; Leavey's wife, Olivia Case-Leavey, 19; Michael Nuzzo, 22, of Centereach; and Cassandra Feldmen, 24, were charged with various counts of burglary.
They were scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on March 3. It wasn't immediately clear whether they had attorneys.
Detectives are continuing to investigate.
