Authorities are looking for the two men they say stabbed a 17-year-old boy and punched a 20-year-old man during a robbery attempt at a Brooklyn subway platform Monday afternoon.
The NYPD says the two robbers approached the teen and man at the Cleveland Street J/Z station in East New York at about 3:30 p.m. and told them to hand over what they had.
When they refused, one of the robbers punched the 20-year-old in the face while the other stabbed the 17-year-old in the shoulder and body.
The two suspects then ran from the subway station without taking anything. The victims, meanwhile, were taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
Authorities initially said two people were stabbed but later clarified to say only one victim was stabbed and the other was punched in the face.
J and Z trains bypassed the Cleveland Street station as authorities investigated. The MTA advised subway riders to expect some delays.
