Authorities are investigating after a 27-year-old man was stabbed on the subway during an argument with an 18-year-old man, law enforcement sources tell NBC 4 New York.

Sources familiar with the investigation say the stabbed man was able to exit the train when it pulled into the 59th Street-Columbus station Thursday morning and walk himself to a hospital. He's expected to be OK.

Law enforement sources said the suspect apparently stayed on the train, which had been coming from the Bronx.

No emergency brake was pulled.
