Muggers Throw Man, 60, on Stairs at Brooklyn Subway Station, Then Beat, Rob Him

Police say the suspects kicked and punched the victim after he was on the ground before running off with his phone

Police are looking for two suspects who grabbed a 60-year-old man's legs as he walked by them in a Brooklyn subway station, threw him to the stairs and kicked and punched him before running off with his cell phone, police said.

Authorities say the suspects, believed to be in their late teens to mid 20s, attacked the victim as he headed to the northbound platform at the Ocean Parkway D and Q station Wednesday afternoon.

They grabbed his legs and shoved him, and his head slammed on the stairs, police said. Then they repeatedly punched and kicked him before fleeing with his phone.

The victim was treated for minor injuries at the hospital.

Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800)-577-TIPS (8477).
