The MTA's message to commuters who grappled with huge delays and service changes between Brooklyn and Manhattan Wednesday was simple: "Please take another train line if you can."
The agency tweeted the message shortly before 10 a.m. as delays mounted on the B, D, F and M lines amid limited service between boroughs. The problem was related to a switch at Herald Square, the MTA said.
Service had been restored with residual delays within half an hour.
Some A and C trains were also experiencing delays because of signal problems at Van Siclen Avenue.
