Man Killed by Subway While Trying to Grab Cash from Tracks

Police say a 23-year-old Florida man who jumped down onto subway tracks to retrieve some cash died after getting hit by an oncoming train.

Police say Bobby Legrand Guin of Mary Esther, Fla. apparently climbed down onto the tracks to get some $20 bills that were lying there at about 5:15 a.m. Thursday at the Central Park West and 110th Street station.

They say a northbound "A'' train hit him.

He was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Last week, a Long Island teenager was killed by a subway train on the Upper West Side while trying to cross the tracks to the opposite platform.
