Millions of spectators are expected to line the streets Thursday to watch the 89th annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and 50 million more are expected to watch it on NBC.
In order to accommodate the parade, many streets will be closed across Manhattan. The Department of Transportation released the following information:
On Thursday, the parade forms at 8 a.m. at the following locations:
-Columbus Avenue between 81st and 77th streets
-Central Park West between 81st and 86th streets
-Central Park West betwen West 77th and 86th streets
-West 81st Street between Cebtral Park West and Columbus Avenue

-71st Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue
-68th Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue
-62nd Street between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue
The parade will begin at 9 a.m. from Central Park West and 77th Street and proceed on the following route:
-South on Central Park West to Columbus Circle
-Central Park West between 81st Street and east side of Columbus Circle/59th Street
-South through E/S Columbus Circle to 59th Street
-Broadway between 59th and 58th streets
-58th Street between Broadway and Sixth Avenue
- East 59th Street between Columbus Circle and Sixth Avenue
- South on Sixth Avenue between 59th and 34th streets
-West on 34th Street between Sixth and Seventh avenues
The parade will disperse at noon at the below locations:
-33rd Street between Sixth and 10th avenues
-34th Street between Sixth and Eighth avenues
-35th Street between Sixth and Eighth avenues
-36th Street to 38th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue
-39th Street and 40th Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues
-Seventh Avenue between 33rd Street and 40th Street

-Broadway between West 34th Street and West 38th Street - Midnight to 1 p.m.
-6th Avenue between West 23rd Street and West 42nd Street – 2 a.m. to 1 p.m.
-7th Avenue from West 34th Street and West 42nd Street - 2 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
-34th Street between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue - 10 p.m. (Wed) to 5 p.m.
-59th Street E/B between 7th Avenue and Central Park West – Midnight to 2 p.m.
-59th Street W/B between 5th Avenue and Central Park West – 2 a.m. to 2 p.m.
-35th Street between 5th Avenue and 8th Avenue - 2 a.m. to 4 p.m.
-36th Street between 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue - 2 a.m. to 2 p.m.
-37th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenue - 4 a.m. to 2 p.m.
