Police say a 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with a shooting that injured a 9-year-old girl playing outside in the Bronx Friday night.
The girl was hit in the stomach by a stray bullet when a gunman riding a bicycle sprayed a Kingsbridge street with bullets, police said.
Investigators believe the girl was not the intended target.
The child was hospitalized in stable condition.
The teen faces charges of attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment and illegal weapon possession.
The name of his attorney was not immediately known.
