A statewide travel ban kept most New Yorkers off the road during this week’s snowstorm, but one intrepid Staten Island man reportedly took the ban as his chance to take a joy ride in the snow.
The 32-year-old man was allegedly caught doing doughnuts in the parking lot of a South Shore Lowe’s early Tuesday, according to SILive.com.
The report says the man drove his 1990 Jeep Cherokee in circles through the Rossville parking lot just before 3 a.m.
He wasn’t charged with violating the travel ban, but with driving with a suspended driver’s license.
