Drunk Driver Crashes into Staten Island Home: Police

Police arrested 29-year-old Louis Jordan for driving while intoxicated after he allegedly raced down Richmond Avenue and then slammed into a home

An alleged drunk driver was arrested after he crashed into a house in Bull's Head on Staten Island early Sunday, police said.

Louis Jordan, 29, was charged with driving while intoxicated after he allegedly raced down Richmond Avenue and then slammed into a home at 5:30 a.m.

Neighbors said a 3-year-old girl often sleeps on the other side of the wall where Jordan hit when she visits her grandparents.

"Luckily, their granddaughter is away because she happens to sleep where that car hit," said neighbor Pat Litos. "Had he gone through the wall, God knows what could have happened."

It wasn't clear if Jordan had an attorney.
