Police have arrested a man and woman for allegedly robbing a Staten Island couple and then shoving them into a closet.

According to published reports, the alleged thieves asked the elderly couple for the name of a cab company so they could make their getaway.

The couple managed to free themselves and call 911.

Police say the alleged thieves were arrested as the cab dropped them off at their home on Wednesday.

Nineteen-year-old Rodney Harvest was charged with criminal possession of stolen property, robbery, unlawful imprisonment and criminal possession of a weapon -- a firearm.

His alleged accomplice, Pebbles Pless, was charged with robbery.

Information about their lawyers wasn't immediately available.
