Staten Island Borough President James Molinaro called Lady Gaga a "slut" after photos surfaced of the pop superstar lighting what appears to be a marijuana cigarette at an Amsterdam concert last week.
The photos were displayed alongside a poster that said: "Stop glorifying drug use in the media."
Molinaro said Monday, "This slut is influencing many, many children." according to The Staten Island Advance.
He said his niece's two daughters, ages 12 and 14, love Lady Gaga, and he wondered why.
Molinaro also launched into a general attack on actors and ballplayers who he said use drugs "as if it's nothing."
A representative of Lady Gaga didn't immediately respond to a request for comment Tuesday.
