Son Stabs Dad on Long Island, Steals Neighbor's Car to Flee: Police

Police are searching for 23-year-old Eric Georgoulakos

Police on Long Island are searching for a 23-year-old man accused of stabbing his father, then stealing a neighbor's car to flee, authorities say.

Suffolk police were called to a South Farmingdale home on Grant Street Friday afternoon, where they found a 53-year-old man with stab wounds to his head and torso.

Police say the victim's son, Eric Georgoulakos, stabbed him during an altercation, then went to a neighboring Washington Street home and asked the residents if he could use the bathroom and the phone.

When he was let into the home, Georgoulakos took the keys to a tan 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer with Pennsylvania plates and fled, driving away in the vehicle.

The father was taken to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
