New Yorkers were greeted this morning by a flurry of snow that will usher in a cold, windy weekend.
Meteorologists say the white stuff, which started around 8 a.m, will continue to fall through the morning. Forecasters predict about a one-inch accumulation.
According to the National Weather Service, in some areas snow will be mixed with rain and motorists are advised to take extra caution as any water left on the roads will freeze.
After the morning snowfall, the tri-state can brace for strong winds and a deep dip in temperatures. High temperatures on Friday and Saturday will be around 25 degrees. Sunday will be around 30 degrees, forecasts predict.
