Smoke Suspends Uptown A Service

Many MTA employees have raked in hundreds of thousands of dollars in overtime pay.

Authorities are reporting a smoke condition in the subway that is affecting uptown A service.

The smoke condition was reported at 8:18 a.m. Wednesday at 190th Street. As a result, NYC Transit says there is no A service between 168th and 207th streets.

The Fire Department says firefighters are on the scene. The source of the smoke was not immediately known.
