Police have released a sketch of a suspect who attacked and attempted to sexually assault a 24-year-old Rutgers University near the school's New Brunswick campus in January.

The suspect walked up to the woman on Townsend Street between Livingston and Joyce Kilmer avenues in New Brunswick early on Jan. 31 and punched her in the face several times, officials said.

The man also improperly touched the woman and attempted to further sexually assault her, police say. He ran off when she kicked and screamed.

Anyone with information about the attack or the suspect is asked to call the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at (732) 745-3600, or the New Brunswick Police Department at (732) 745-5217.
