Man Chokes 17-Year-Old on New York City Street, Bites her Pelvis: Police

Police are looking for a man who dragged a 17-year-old victim from the street to a dark Bronx sidewalk, where he choked her and bit her pelvic area.

Authorities say the suspect waited for the victim to come out of a bar early the morning of Sept. 8, 2014. He grabbed her near Jerome Avenue and East 183rd Street and dragged her to the sidewalk, where he attacked her.

The suspect then ran off.

Surveillance video shows a man in a yellow shirt with a backwards white hat clutching the victim by the elbow and shoulder as he walks her down the street. She appears to try to pull away from him at one point but he adjusts his grip and continues moving her down the sidewalk.

The victim was treated and released from a local hospital. It wasn't immediately clear which bar the underage victim had been inside prior to the attack.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
