Severe Storms Make Way For Sun

Severe thunderstorms struck parts of the tri-state Friday night, damaging property in Westchester, Connecticut and New Jersey.

Thousands of residents in New Jersey and Westchester were without power. Jersey Central Power & Light says more than 20,000 customers lost power in Ocean County on Friday night, mostly in Jackson, Lakewood and Brick. All customers had power restored by Saturday morning.

The weather for the rest of the weekend and week is hot and dry.

On Sunday, expect a high of 90 and another clear day. There's a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Monday, but it's quiet and sunny the rest of the week.
