A Seton Hall University student was shot and another was assaulted in an off-campus apartment next to police headquarters, officials say.

The students were taken to a hospital Tuesday evening and their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

South Orange Village President Alex Torpey tells The Star-Ledger of Newark the suspects fled and the shooting is not believed random.
