Seton Hall University said it investigated a claim of a sexual assault at an off-campus party that may have been caught on video and shared among students.
The college said in a statement Thursday that it conducted an internal investigation and informed police about the claim. Seton Hall did not elaborate on what was alleged.
Police and prosecutors are still investigating, the school said.
Police would not comment.
Seton Hall said "the recording or sharing of images of the alleged incident is completely unacceptable" and contrary to the school's Catholic mission.
