Police Search for Robber Targeting TriBeCa Eateries

Police are asking for the public's help locating a robber wanted in a series of break-ins at businesses around TriBeCa.

The robber has burglarized seven different restaurants and stores, taking cash, liquor, wine and cigarettes, police said. He managed to get into the businesses by breaking a hole in a side wall or door.

The suspect was caught on surveillance photos provided by NYPD. He is wearing blue jeans, a light-colored shirt and a black jacket with a hood in the pictures. Police said the suspect also often wears a dark-colored bag around his waist.

Restaurants Lenny's at 108 John St.; Full Shilling at 160 Pearl St.; Ancora at 11 Stone St.; Crepes du Nord at 17 South William St.; and Ho Yip at 110 Liberty St. were each hit, with either cash, a computer, bottles of wine, or bottles of liquor stolen.

Stores Dor L'Dor at 80 Nassau St. and the Corner Gourmet at 66 West Broadway were also targeted, with cash and cigarettes stolen.

Another business, the Time Equities store at 80 Nassau St., was also broken into, but nothing was taken.

The robberies all happened between April 3 and May 23, police said.
